"Paddleboat Pigs" Writers Room

I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the School of Liberal Arts' "Collaborative Course: Writing for Children's Television." My team developed an educational preschool show, complete with a pitch deck, show bible, spec-commercial, and 12 mini-episodes within 10 action-packed weeks! 

 

Paddleboat Pigs follows three swimming piglets (Soca, Juju, and Poe) as they travel around the Bahamas and learn about the islands' nature and culture.

My role as Story Editor allowed me to organize, edit, and ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative for Paddleboat Pigs. I managed the writing team by providing templates and specific deadlines, and proofreading scripts. I also worked closely with the Show Runner to edit the story bible and pitch deck.

In addition to my work as Story Editor, I also wrote two mini-episodes, "Pigs of a Feather/Hattie Marks the Spot." Samples of this episode can be found in my portfolio under the scriptwriting tab.
